CreateTorrent Widget Editor's Review

CreateTorrent is a simple widget for the Dashboard which allows you to easily create torrent files.

The widget provides just a simple configuration mode, where you can define a tracker address, a listening port for the tracker configuration, and an output filename. It doesn't have the support for private trackers, thus you can't turn off the DHT and the PEX (Peer Exchange) if this is required.

The widget it pretty unstable. It so happens sometimes to drag a directory over its window, and nothing happens. It gets stuck with a large number of files.

Pluses: it can create easily torrent files.

Drawbacks / flaws: just a few features, instability.

In conclusion: the tool is quite good for small stuff. For a proper generation of torrent files, you need advanced tools like the torrent creation support from Azureus.
